pollinate software package provides seed the pseudo random number generator in virtual machines, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pollinate
pollinate is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pollinate package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pollinate *
You will get with pollinate package name, version, architecture and description in a table
